Torres, Denise

Hello, my name is Denise Torres.
I currently teach AP Human Geography, AP U.S. History, and PBL 3 at Advanced Learning Academy High School, where I also serve as the History Department Chair. In addition to teaching, I help lead our school community by running the school social media and coordinating the PBIS program.

I grew up in Long Beach, California, and now commute to Santa Ana each day to be part of this vibrant learning community. I earned my B.A. in Human Development and my Teaching Credential in History/Social Science from California State University, Long Beach. I also hold a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from California State University, Fullerton.

I am passionate about creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences and supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
